Alberta’s Homeplace:

Re-Indigenizing Motherhood

“Homeplace — a site of resistance & liberation … where we can heal our wounds & become whole.” ~Bell Hooks

Alberta’s Homeplace is more than a community—it’s a revolutionary act of reclamation. A place where Black single mothers and their children can heal, grow, and build the future they deserve. A place where mothering is celebrated as sacred and transformative, where the earth is honored as a teacher and healer, and where collective care leads to personal and communal liberation.
